You might be familiar with the clichés about the magnificent nature and untouched landscapes. Those clichés are quite accurate, but Nuuk is also much more than that. Nuuk holds a very special place in my heart. It’s a city where you can feel both the depth of history and the pulse of a vibrant, modern everyday life. I love how the sea, the mountains, and the culture come together to create a place that truly inspires. As a destination manager, it’s a pleasure to help share that experience with others – and to work toward tourism that grows in close harmony with the life and community we live in and for.
Gerth is the Social Media Manager at Visit Nuuk, where he turns Greenland’s capital into a digital destination. With a passion for storytelling, he captures the essence of life in Nuuk - from northern lights to local bites. Gerth creates inspiring photo and video content across platforms and keeps the Visit Nuuk website fresh, inviting, and ready to spark your next adventure.
