My favorite thing about Nuuk is…
I love the fact that you can always see the ocean in Nuuk, wherever you are. Nuuk is a place that is full of memories for me even though the city is changing and looks less and less like it did when I was a child. The best thing about Nuuk in the wintertime is definitely the ski lift!

I would suggest trying Greenlandic food at…
Esme Lounge. They have local foods with a twist. I often order their snow crabs, it’s so good and locally caught. Their dip is seriously amazing dill dip!
I love to eat at…
Katuaq. They serve the smorgasbord classic ”Shooting Star” with shrimp, lumpfish roe, and halibut all on top of a slice of white bread. I eat that for lunch a couple of times a week.

Where I buy my arts and crafts…
I buy from local artists. Sometimes they approach you with their work, but a lot of artists are on social media too. Then I either message or call them and ask what they might have for me!

I love fishing for my own cod. We often sail out and catch our own dinner. Otherwise, I buy it at the local hunters' market.
My perfect day off in Nuuk…
It varies by season. In the summer, we go sailing as soon as we finish work. We’ll either bring food on the boat or go to Qooqqut Nuann. And I love scooping up some ice from the ocean and using it for a G&T! During the winter I happily spend all my afternoons at the ski lift, either skiing or hanging out with my friends.
My best Nuuk outfit is…
Definitely a Bibi Chemnitz quick dry pants, a tee, and some kind of cap. I always wear sneakers, no matter the weather. I usually wear a windproof jacket because I drive to work on my ATV. In the winter I live in my Bibi Chemnitz thermal trousers.
