Why visitors love Malik
Award-winning architecture – built for Greenland
Malik’s gently curved roofline is designed to echo the coastal landscape, and the building is internationally recognised: it won the 2005 Olympic Gold Medal in Sports Construction, awarded by the IOC and IAKS.
A real local social hub
This is where Nuuk meets up – kids splashing after school, adults doing laps, and visitors getting a slice of everyday life that feels authentic and easy.
A year-round “reset button”
If you’ve been hiking, sightseeing, or battling wind and snow, Malik is the warm counterbalance: swim, soak, sauna, and step back out feeling brand new.
What you’ll find inside
Malik is an indoor aquatic centre with multiple zones – so it works whether you want activity or relaxation:
- Swimming lanes for exercise and lap swimming
- Warm-water area for comfort and recovery
- Hot tub / bubble bath for warming up
- Sauna options (including infrared, depending on the day/session) and additional wellness features that appear in Malik’s published materials
“Silent swimming” (adults-only calm)
On selected evenings, Malik hosts silent swimming / stillesvømning – a quieter, more spa-like atmosphere. These sessions are announced via Malik’s channels.
